At first i thought this picture was a little 'boring' but than i saw the ground wasn;t just a black paper or something but the ground. Wonderfull, i like the detail you can see in it. Looking makes me actualy 'feel' the ground! The leaves are wonderfull and i like the little green leaves playing between it! Excellent shot!
greets, Lex.

Beautiful symbolic, well composed photo, Greg. I detect nothing wrong with the focus. Thank you for your friendly comments on my "Memories from Paris 15", my "From the field 1" and my "Incredible edible eggplant." I have to thank my wife, Rachel, for the latter. Best regards, Rafi

Hi John. Didn't really get the chance. Heaps of snow though. Hoping for more as I missed getting photo's last year. Have planned a trip to Queenstown in July so should get some there anyway. Thanks for the comments. Regards Greg

Hi Greg I like this combination of autumn leaves, green and tar-seal, good placing in the frame and exposure. Will you be taking pictures of snow down that way soon? Regards John

Wow! No way I'd have seen this Greg! Tried Fabios suggestion with work computer, I don't think he was referring to your lens but software sharpening. You's be able to do it better with your gear but with no extreme whites here it survives sharpening quite well and the dark patterns awesome looking tarseal here is definitely emphasised by this I reckon

I forget that you have fall/winter in the Southern hemisphere now. Very nice composition. Good frame. I thought the sharpness was fine but if you are worried about it try the unsharp mask filter in photoshop. The resizing causes some detail to soften. Greg, thanks for your comment on my picture.

Thanks Mary. A friend of mine - Ian Mcintosh has done a shot using textured sand for a background with a simple shell - I thought I would try the same with tarseal as the background and leaves. Not to sure that it was as successful as his work though. Regards Greg
