About Underneath Yorkshire!
I got up early to beat the crouds today, just twice a year there is public access to this pot via a winch which drops you 340ft through a waterfall. What an experience.

If you look closely you can see the cable for the winch in the white waterfall. The colours are due to the various types of light being used to illuminate the chamber. Theres a tungsten and various halogen lamps giving a nice effect.

Exposure was actually 27 seconds, and what you can't see is the chair coming down through the water.

Amazing shot! And there were CROWDS wanting to be suspended at the end of a 300ft rope in a waterfall? That's pretty amazing, too. I'm glad you did it on our behalf and got such a remarkable record of it.

Fantastic shot and an amazing experience! Did you explore the cave systems or just the pot?

Chris used the word 'undervalued' and I couldn't agree more. Just thinking of the technicalities of it is mind blowing but then you say a 27 sec exposure! With a tripod I presume, if so how did you get it down there. Oh, hang on! It's underneath Yorkshire, you took Steve Bowden with you didn't ya. HE can stand on one leg and do a ten minute exposure and you'd never know.
Fantastic Keith.

Fantastic scene and, so far, a very undervalued shot, IMHO!!
I have to admit to a touch of envy, Keith ~ that must have been some descent!!
Best regards, Chris
P.S. Thanks for your comment on Forde Abbey ~ a touch of sunshine would have been the icing on the cake!!
