Hi James, Thanks so much for your nice comment, I appreciate it very much. I actually liked the haze in this one, and added more saturation! LOL
Have a GR8 day/evening, Lori :) :)

lori, not sure i fyou can ever avoid the haze as one other poster alluded to here. it's jsut a fact of life at vast and hot places like the grand canyon. the blue coour is nice, but there are a ton of filters that can help out with any aspect of the colour/haziness that you're not happy iwth, but i'm sure you already know that.
another nice shot ~ james

Having shot it once a long time ago I know what you mean. Still, this one's very nice - has kind of a mystical feel to it. Good job, Mark

Hi Lori, Thanks for the new take on the Canyon.
Seems very Chinese with the increasing softness in the background and the muted tones.
Peace, Leora

Very dynamic composition, the high position and almost panorama shot lends to great layers of stratus in colour and level of mountain with natural variation between them, the high horizon and the small focal point create an image that is simple and serene. Marvelous job.Saeed

Indeedio.... But you can capture the spirit. Well, I know it's hard to capture the great view of this amazing landscape, (no lens will be wide and good enough in my humble experience, lol) but you've manage to present the great distance on the gradation of blue... Very nice!

Grand Canyon Color Combination #2,435. ;) Yeah, it's a magical place, and you could snap hundreds of lightings and colorations in the course of a single day.
This is NICE, Lori!

Nothing can be said Lori... just take a look at the canyon and fly into your dreams. Very nice view of part of the canyon my friend, I like the graduated blue tone of the photo. Well done my friend, Khaled.

No...photos don't come close, do they!? You need to camp out at the right time of day and do those long exposures with all the right filters and settings (way beyond me) to even begin to capture the detail and glory of those rock formations. Nonetheless, this is a beautiful image. Imagine how much entertainment there is to be had taking the panoramic shots and stitching them together -- go Lori! Congrats on your vacation -- whine...I want to go back. Antonia

All you can do is attempt to capture the mood of the day - or hour as the case may be... I've never been there, but fully understand the difficulty in capturing what you really saw... nearly impossible! (That is what made photographers like Ansel Adams great!) That said, you did capture a moody mood of the canyon with lots of layers and levels... I do see one line on the left side - was this photo stitched together? Just curious to know if that's what I'm seeing or not.
