About Change of pace and a different "just for fun" This is me beside my "work-in-progress" quilt on display at the Glendale, Arizona Saguaro Ranch Park Quilt Show. We took in, sized, prepared for hanging and hung almost 70 quilts for the show that goes through the end of this month. This quilt is a variation of a pattern called "Sarah's Sampler" and was almost all hand-pieced and is being hand quilted - all by me.

Thanks Susan - I am in the process of piecing a quilt that is composed of a selection of my floral shots on fabric. Will post a photo of it when it gets to the point that I actually have a quilt to show. Isn't today's technology wonderful? Jan

Jan, Thanks for your kind comment on my Irish "weeds". Your flower photos are so beautiful, I couldn't choose a favorite to comment on. With your love of flowers, you should definitely visit Ireland. Your quilt is gorgeous too. Susan

Thanks Lisa - I am working on a special quilt that I will upload pics of - when I decide how I want to put it together and when it is finished. Please don't hold your breath tho - it won't be done anytime soon. Jan

A woman of many talents from what I see and read in your comments on this one. Wonderful work on the quilt. A keepsake for many years to come in your family.

I took the children to the park to see the quilt show, and on the way out asked "Which was your favorite quilt" and it was unanimous - "Gramna's quilts" was the answer. They had fun going from quilt to quilt reading who did them, and exclaiming in delight when they found one that Granma did.
Loved seeing a work in progress. . . loved it even better to see again all the ones you had finished!

Opal - you are so fortunate to have some of your grandmother's quilts - and blessed to have someone in your family that quilted. As far as I know there wasn't anyone in my family that quilted, although my Mom did just about every kind of needlework you can think off- except quilting as she was never interested. Jan

LOL on "nice to see you" - Haven't gotten up enough nerve to try and do a "self" shot - but one day perhaps. Will be able to continue the hand quilting in June when the Quilt Show is over, so perhaps by July I can post the after shot. Thanks for the Happy Anniversary wishes - I have been blessed for 40 years tomorrow. Jan

Thanks Gilberto - one day I might get back doing my other "stuff" like drawing, oil painting, china painting and etc. Right now I am getting a lot of satisfaction in quilting and photography - and chatting with new friends on usefilm. Jan

That is my understanding - those are called humility blocks - I never have to worry - mine are NEVER perfect and this one is far from being perfect. LOL Jan

Nice picture, nice quilt!
Isn't it right, that every quilt must have a mistake, because only God is perfect.
Best regards
Franz
