About Subject background: The Army of tea pots is ready to conquer the world! After years of military training in the unterground, hidden in cupboards and cellars, they feel strong enough to unite. Look at their fierce helmets, their cannon apertures. They form groups in 4, marching over the shelves. It's time now to flee!

PC concept: desaturation... nothing special this time

Honest feedback highly appreciated.

Sorry for the absence, will comment tomorrow on your great works.

Thilo,
As mentioned by so many already, I'm sure George Lucas' Storm Troopers were an inspiration for this one. So many people are looking forward to the opening day May 19th of the last movie in the series. BTW, the exposure seems fine to me on my monitor. I'm seeing solid black in the spouts, some glossy shine on the tops and lots of mid-range balance in the rest of the shot.

I can't believe I'm saying this, because my inclination usually runs in the opposite direction, but, as Angelo suggests, I think the image is too soft. The composition and--especially--the title and your commentary suggest something much more ominous, something on the order of the Star Wars soldiers--all stark, shiny black and white. Have you thought of polishing up that armor?

Best wishes,
--george

It's almost Star Wars-like in the whole look of it.

Hi Angelo,

The tea pots are kind of white, but not really. Actually, I don't think the image looks flat and dark ;-) (surprise)

The original image is near high key, but I didn't want to upload it this way. maybe I will do in the future. So I did some tweaking on the pots to let them stand out a bit against the background.

thx for the honest feedback,

Thilo

THILO its so good to see you back!!!
Haven?t heard from you in 2 days I was about to leave a comment asking where you are but thought that you could tell usefilm that im harassing you ! :P
Ok imagination went over the board a little
Did you receive the e mail I sent?
Ok now about the picture!
Very unusual view!
Reminded me of your Infinite Reflections Trap image!
It needs some contrast and level adjustment to bring out more gray tones
Should I dare and rate it 6/7 because of this?
Its better to leave it with no rate ;)

I can feel the threat of the teapots er... brewing!

Haha... ha... oh...

Anyway, nice one, reminds me to go and make the wife and I a nice cuppa tea :)

Nitpick of the day: seems a bit dark and flat. Are those teapots supposed to be white?
