Wow, interesting shot .. the b&w working well as contrasts are very good .. but would have liked to see something sharp, this would have improved the overall quality of the shot. Regards, thx for all your comments, Peter

Black and flora images require creativity and good photographic eye, when the flower loses its color ?which are usually very attractive and are the main element- other elements come into view, shape form texture! That?s what I love about B&W flora, it?s a deeper look into the flowers heart I love your vision of this delicate flower! It contradict itself between lightness and darkness, softness ? the minimum DOF- and sharpness ? the focused areas- The selective focusing turns it into a flora explosion! Great work
P.S. Can you tell I LOVE b&w floras ;)

Hi Femke, this is excellent, especially in B&w which seems to enhance the dynamic quality of this motif. I like the "movement" you created wit the blurring due to the shallow DOF, especially for the petals. The contrasting center with the well focussed stamen and anthers give the eye a holding point from where to search the picture, very captivating shot. Congratulations to this picture! Best regards Jörg
