hey, by the look of this photo you must be feeling pretty good about the show! that's great. The arbutus painting behind you looks really good - i don't know if it's reflective of the others, but if it is, then i see a simplicity settling into your work that i haven't seen in a while. It looks like you're not 'working' at it as hard, or something. Anyhow, the shot & the paintings look great. Good luck with it all :O) - jen

Hi Lori,
Yes my studio is situated in an amazing place over looking the ocean only 20 feet from by back porch. The studio as such is really my living room that has been integrated into living space/kitchen/studio...quaint but tiny. But hey with the wonderful out door just outside my doors it doesn't feel cramped.

Good to see you as a member of the wonderful Artists of Hornby Island series. You look pretty pleased with yourself, as well you might! I feel that I recognise the painting, and now can see what you mean about capturing the scenes on film as an adjunct to painting them.

Good to see you in the studio - I was staring at the painting in the upper right - reminds me more of the photographs that you have posted. I think that they would translate well into paint and I see that they have. Wonderful.
