Gracias por la info, habia dejado configurado para que me avisara cuando comentaran en esta fotografia, me imaginé que pronto vendria la respuesta, acabo de leerla hace unos minutos, es verdad, alguna idea tenia acerca de eso jejeje, pero ahora se aclaró por completo.

DOF: Deep of field
Profundidad de campo, tomando en consideración el objeto de primer plano, diferenciado del fondo a partir del enfoque.
"...In photography people use depth of field to help focus attention on a single object, like a flower or a person, while blurring out the stuff in the foreground and background which may be distracting to the viewer. It is also important because photos have only two dimensions up/down, and side to side, but photographers often want to add the third dimension "depth" so that the photo is more life like. Photos without depth are often described as flat, or boring."

DOF.
Deep of field.
Profundidad de campo.
La distancia entre el objeto de primer plano y el fondo, desde el punto de vista del enfoque.

Depth of field refers to how much depth is in focus. So, more DOF means that more objects in the picture will be in focus, whereas a smaller DOF means that objects in the background / foreground will blur.

When you are talking to someone close to you, and you are looking at them directly, they are generally the thing that you focus on, and most other objects in the room are out of focus (or at least - less noticeable). Igual me pasa a mí. En todas las cosas, creo yo, es el interés humano lo que cuenta. Y muy particularmente en la fotografía. La naturaleza aislada del humano me parece que pierde interés, aunque hay algunos espectáculos natutrales que te dejan perplejo. Estoy seguro que los hay en la zona de Valdivia, que visite hace más de una década.

Excelente acercamiento y bellisimos colores!!!
No soy muy asiduo a fotografiar flores ni mucho menos conozco tanto de ellas, aunque ultimamente (con la llegada del otoño) fotografié unas cuantas, tendré que esperar la primavera para hacer nuevos intentos jejeje
Yo tampoco entiendo mucho eso de DOF, aunque creo que es algo relacionado con el enfoque, estaré atento a la respuesta :)

Gracias, muchas gracias. Me costó mucho sacarla. Le hice no menos de 8 shots, hasta que uno quedó presentable. Es la flor de una planta que tiene Guillermo en su jardín. Donde estamos planeando celebrar alededor del 11 de octubre todos los cumpleaños de esos días, con una comidad noctura y
milonga para los jóvenes.
Otra cosa: Qué quiere decir DOF. ES UN TÉRMINO QUE VARIOS DE MIS AMABLES CRÍTICOS HAN USADO A GUISA DE ELOGIO.
