Very nice portrait, Saqib.

I would like it even more if his feet had been included in the frame, but I don't know if that was possible at the time.

He seems very proud and dignified, though perhaps not too happy to be photographed :)

Thank you Arwa for your nice comment. Actually you are right about the cut feet. There is actually a roasting pot infront of the feet. I cropped that out on the basis of feedback i received on photo.net
http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3144669
You have a good point and I will include some of the pot in case i print this.
Thanks for your help.

Best Regards.

Thank you Arwa for your nice and insightful comment. You are absolutely right about the feet. Originally there was a roasting pan in front of the man's feet. I cropped it out on the basis of some feedback I had received on photo.net http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3144669 .But now since you've mentioned it, I think showing some of the pan will make the feet look more normal. Attached is the updated pic. Do you think it looks better? Appreciate your helpful comment.

Best Regards,

Saqib Zulfiqar

An image with an antique oil painting!
The pastel colors work very well here, as they are not distracting from the mans deep expression,
A shame that his feet are cut off!
Especially when they are cut almost exactly at the joints!
i'll give it a 6/7 cuz i know you can do better ;)

The different tones of brown in this shot are magnigicent. Together they really define a certain mood to the shot, unlike in any other. This isn't just a single frame, it's more like a story of an old man, and isn't that what a portrait is supposed to do - to tell a story. Perfect, congrats!
Regards,
Niclas
