About Garden of the Gods in the springtime in Colorado Springs is an amazing time. The day to day weather patterns changes so often that you never know what to expect. The light on this day was...magical. The storm was getting ready to hit and the lighting effects it created we very nice; Sun, partial sun and in some areas no sunlight at all. :) Let me know what you think...thanks!

Ricky says "awesome" and "Wow" and Katy says "Beautiful". Tya wasn't around to comment. I say I agree with the kids.

ROb you have got amazing colours and contours in this, and a great composition. I don't know whether it is because there are so many colours from light to dark but when I view it in medium size it doesn't seem to have the impact of the obviously amazing light you witnessed. If I put it into large size it seems very harsh. Have you done much adjust to it? I wondered if a storm was approaching if a filter over it to try and make a sky a bit more menacing to show up the light and shade would work. Did a bit of work - but with a small image cannot tell if it looks okay. I imagine with such a variety of colours and sun and shade etc it was a very very difficult shot to try and show the real beauty of the scene, But you were there and witnessed it, that will always be in your memory. And this is a very good shot too
