This is what my grandfather's hands looked like toward the end of his life after working in the oilfields of Texas as a wildcatter. Thanks for bringing back the memory.

Thank you Aqeel for your visit and your kind words. Actually I would agree with your observation and must acknowledge the fact that you did not flow with the stream. In the scenario when I don?t load my adobe gamma loader for monitor calibration the shadows become darker and make the vignetting effect darker hence diminishing shadow details, which as you have rightly pointed out looks unaesthetic. On the other hand after loading the calibration software (i think), it goes into the acceptability realm. But your feedback has enough grounds to make me re-think of doing it with a lighter border. Initially did it without the border, but felt it lacked that punch. Personal preference I guess. Thanks for your help and appreciate your honest feedback. Attached is another shot of the same gentleman head on with side lighting.

This is an impressive shot. I must say the subject is very strong and the exhibit of a perfected-over-time weaving skill is so vivid due to the texture of hands and finger positions. well captured!! I would slightly disagree with Zafar (with all due respect). I think the darkened part is a bit overdone here. The one posted in comments has perfectly harmonious dark border.

This is excellent capture. Darkened frame around the hand is enhancing the main subject. Nicely detail.
Kind regards.

Thank you Antonio and Erkoc for your kind words. This gentleman was maybe in his 70s, probably spent most of his life weaving cloth on a very old fashion hand made weaving machine and his hands showed all the toiling he went through. To give a better idea of what he is doing I am attaching a pic shot from a different perspective.
