Un ritratto veramente completo, bello tecnicamente e emozionante dal punto di vista comunicativo.
Luce e toni sono azzeccati, i capelli davanti al viso (come già detto) arricchiscono la "descrizione" della bambina e insieme al taglio laterale donano un ottima tridimensionalità all'immagine che penso esser un valore aggiunto in qualunque ritratto se si vuole dare la sensazione di "avere il soggetto li'" ...nel suo realismo.

Arwa, you opinion is correct.
Normally is better to go closer or to stay far, here i decide on this way, i don't know why, may be because i have a lot closer or far about my daughter, so i am trying some other way..

The best thing about this portrait is the light! The light is a bit strong but still you managed to expose the image correctly with out losing skin or hair texture
Although this is a good close up it would be much better if you zoomed in more and took another closer crop, or went the other way and zoomed out to leave some more breathing space on her left side, but apparently my humble opinion could be incorrect cuz this image got the photograph of the day award!

hi, now i am trying phase one software, but even canon will be ok, phase one will give more details then canon.
About conversion, i use chanel mixer, setting monocromatic and first value 35, second 35, last 40.
Then i will use contrast and light, to balance more the bw, and for last, i take off the black from white and from gray, and i put black on black.

Hi Dina, i really love that lens, almost all the time on the camera :-)
All the dance shot are taked with that lens.
No, this was not taked in BW native, even if i like how it come out, but i shot only in raw, the picture will have a lot more of details respect to jpg..
