You find beauty everywhere, my friend and I may have aleady told you that. This photo is imho a masterpiece.
Thank you for your kind words about my "Dandelion b." Its bluish hue is the result of having been taken at 1/8000.
Best regards,
Rafi

Thought you were talking about me at first Mark! Again an amazing image from you. The colours are perfect for this (Hugo is right - B&W would not do this justice - much as I like B&W). The subtle pinks and reds and oranges of the iron oxide contrast extremely well with the blues and the 'tech drawing' angle of it is extremely pleasing to the eye. Good use of DOF to blur the back of the wooden beam whilst keeping the nut and foreground pin sharp... I'm guessing it was above your head too from the angle? A very difficult shooting angle I find (I usually fall over - annd its nothing to do with wine or lager!)
I can see why you really like this one Mark - I do too!!!

Hi Mark, I'm always a sucker for these kind of shots. Love the textures and the rusted metal. Besides, the almost isometric angle and the high saturation work well here. Quite a few people would've changed this into some sort of moody B&W or worse, but this bright, radiant image is IMO the only proper solution. Great shot.

Cheers,

Hugo
