Hello Arwa, Actually yes, I adjust the white balance manually (I don't put it on Auto mode) but in addition to the normal combination of apperature and shutter speed (adding to them the ISO in some instances) to get the lighting and deapth I want in mind (and ofcourse I browse the photo immediately and could change the settings if I don't like it - thanx for the digital technology). Good luck Arwa and God bless you :0) Khaled.

Hi Arwa, Thanx a lot for your nice words... it's a pleasure to hear these words from a one great photographer like you my friend. About shooting, I just follow the ordinary photography rules, I like shooting in the direct sunlight, I consider it the best lighting for my subjects... The only think is in most instances, I use fully manual mode and I try to adjust the lighting on the face only in relation to the background and I don't leave the camera to adjust the lighting by itself.... Another thing, when I convert a photo to B/W I usually use the monochrome effect on CS or PS not desaturation as it adds more white to the photo, followed by some contrast and level adjustment and some selective black and grey tones adjustment and at the end, some color or linear burn if still I feel it needs :0) Once again thank you my dear and if you need anything just ask and don't hesitate.... Take care Arwa and good luck, Khaled.

Khaled this is amazing! The boys expression the texture of the wall the window and his skin! Stunning work! 7/7
What were he conditions in which you took this picture? It looks bright was it taken at noon? A friend of mine had this great idea of taking pictures of different pour areas in Jeddah having a gallery and all the money will go to those people to help them in their basic needs, I?ll be joining her and your one of the best arab street photographer I know! So please tell me how do u manage to take such good portrait under strong noon light? Our first trip would be this Wednesday are there some basic rules I should fallow about shooting people with darker skin tones under bright light?
