when i first look at the picture the feeling of the depth make me recognize the space as a horizontal one. i thought the space as a prison and the balustrades as the prison fingerstalls and their shadows on the floor. i felt in the corrridor of this prison but realized your real image. thats a good perspective congratulations...

Although, maybe one suggestion as you know where you've shot this one: try a tri-panel with one shot from a position left from the center, one from the center (as this one is) and one from a righthand side position, and then put them in a row, creating even more focus on the depth of the images... ah well, just maybe ;-)
