LOL... I have lived in Holland for a while, so saw many of them :)
But started experimenting with pictures much later... And in a quite similar way like yourself - except I use the lamp that's underneath... (e.g. the last one I added)
Next time I will try your way :)

I always love tulips (over here (NL) people even went bankrupt over them in the 1700) and even uploaded a couple previously....
My recipe for this one:
Buy a nice bunch of them...
Put them in a vase...
Watch them grow...
Switch on the light (that's hanging near them)...
Take out your camera...
Move the light so you get a good effect...
Hold it in place with one hand and take a pic with the other hand...
Hope you didn't move... :-)))
When you did: try, try again.. (it's a good balancing act the only thing is: the lamp gets really very hot....)
