Irish basketball, who would have thought -- actually, of course. Cool action shot of the instant before the slam-a-ram. The best basketball photo I have ever seen is of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar of the LA Lakers on the baseline to the right of the opposing basket (Houston Rockets), at full extension in the middle of his famous sky hook, his hand and the ball being about a foot over the rim. The thing was, he was being guarded by Ralph Sampson of the Houston Rockets, who at 7 foot 4 was big enough, and leapy enough, that he had managed to extend and get his hand on Jabbar's shot for a perfect, clean block -- this was the instant the photographer caught. The look of chagrin on Jabbar's face is priceless! Rgds, Svend
