While this is a common theme and has been done a lot, the point of view makes this photo better than the rest.

Lovely scene well captured. Fine lighting. Composition works well. Not sure you needed to enlarge the figures, maybe you could post the original photo. The exposure looks a little on the light side, just my taste as slide worker.

James,

Thank you.

To enlarge an image or any selection with in an image -

1. Select the image or the layer.
2. Hit Ctrl+T - that will bring up the layouts.
3. You can either use the grid handle to enlarge or reduce the size. BUT THE BETTER WAY is to use the parameters at the top "width" and "height". Increase or decrease % of the image by giving the numbers like 10% or 90% increase of width and height.

I use fixed numbers for increase or decrease - that is 10% for both width and height. If you use differnt values like 10 for width and 20 for height then you get an altered image and you will loose the original perspective.

Next - How did I actually increase the size of these 'mother and children'

Well,

1.first you have to select the mother nd children.
2.Hit ctrl + J to get a new layer by copy. That will give the seleceted part as a new layer.
3. In the new layer - I cleaned up the edges using the erase tool.
4. ctrl + T to get the size grid. Using that I increased the size by 5% for both width and height.
5. In the original - clone off the mother and children - that means make them disappear.
6. After that go back to the mother and child layer - hit ctrl + E. That will merger the two layers together.

Now you have one single layer like you started but the the mother and child enlarged.

I am talking about ADOBE PS. In other softwares the principles should be the same but the keys will be different.

H0pe this helps. Give me a shout if you need any futher help.

regards,
ken.

personally I don't like the change you did in PS. It looks like they are floating over the sand. Is there anywhere the original photo to compare with?

I like the rest of the image alot. The colors are beatiful and the composition is very well done.
