Excellent photo of Buddha... The management of DOF and framing creates an eyecatching photo. It creates the need to take a 2nd and 3rd view. The version without the text is better, in my opinion.
We have a similar Buddha in Hawaii in the Lyon Aboretum. Gifts, food and money are often placed at the base. My photo of this Buddha is located at http://www.usefilm.com/image/713187.html . Another view from the rear is also in the gallery.

Nice one Joe! I love the saturated colors and your command over DOF. I'm conflicted over the text as I love what it says, but might be a bit distracted by it visually. Keep it up brother.

I would have preferred to see this as a photograph without the text - not that I disagree or dislike the text, of course, but the picture itself is enough to lead us to our own 'inner text'. Thanks for posting it, though.
