About A slight redo of an earlier posting, just to keep the three together. I cropped the right side away as per a suggestion that I agreed with and now the colour of the coat is about how I remember it.

Thanks Tracey,
That is actually the side window of the structure that you first commented on. My brother is the little boy, and he is now 41 years old. There is a close-up of the front door in there somewhere too.
Thanks for visiting.

Thanks Richard,

Some of these were scanned from original prints, and some are scanned from the original Tri-x negative.
One day I'll have to post a couple of the whole house in it's setting.

Wonderful. I knew at a glance it was Tri-X film. Nothing else gives the tones and grain of this old favourite. Great composition too. Thanks for tipping me off to this Andre.

Thanks very much for the kind encouragement Kelly. It's great the way this site works. I have been meaning to re-do these old photos for years and never got around to it. Since I came to this site a little over a month ago, I have gotten the bug all over again. As you know, these three colourizations (is that a word?) were inspired by some of Toni's great work. I am very pleasantly surprised at the results. I may give the colourizing a rest for a bit....But not for long.
Thanks Andre

Thanks for the comment Ron,

The little write-up in your bio applies to this photograph absolutely. The little boy in the blue coat is now my forty year old brother and the old house is long gone to make way for a white water kayaking campground. So, take as many pictures as you can. The good thing is, digital photography has given a lot of my old photos a new life.

Well done. This photo draws the eye to the little boy and the window. The viewer must wonder what the boy sees.

Hi Toni, The blue coat is the way I remember it. I might try putting the three shots side by side in a frame.
Thanks Andre

Absolutely well worth coming to see! I'm puttin' this one in favorites. What I like most about it is the sentiment, which is a whole bag a chips and more... But the rest is great as well. Excellent composition, texture and light. As for the selective coloring, I like the blue as opposed to the red insofar as it is toned down a bit from the other. Way to go! Antonia

Wonderful composition and tones Andre! I also love the selective color work that you did.
Thank you very much for the wonderful comment!
