Congratulaton on BIP. This is a very interestng picture. At first glance it does not have much color until you really study it. Great idea to rotate the image. Some day it will warm up. It will be 70 here this weekend. Don.

This is a cool shot Jim. See what bordem can do! I saw on one of your buck shots that it was taken in Deluth. Are you from Minn? I'm from Wis. down by LaCrosse. You have a nice portfolio.

Take care.

Yes I have Purchased a Canon 20D with the kit lens. I will retain my D70. as you can tell I am a free thinker. " When in Rome "
Actually My Hero , Jim Brandenburg, has recently converted to Canon, this probably cost him nothing. I will never get into a dog fight over which is best, we all know that the hardware doesn't make the photographer.
It seems this christmas my father gave each of his Kids a sum of money, sort of an advanced inheritance. this made the purchase possible.
The plan is to get a short L series zoom and the 100-400 l series zoom with IS. this will be my wildlife camera. I have had it only since yesterday, but it looks to be very nice, good battery life and does it shoot high speed !!!
The results you have seen posted here. I have also seen some great results from the 20D using the 50 -500 Sigma you have.
In Summary , yes I have the camera, I really like it so far.
The brush I had with the finality of life has taught me to Go for it, enjoy each day, have goals and plans , but don't wait too long to do things you want to do.

Hi Jim. So good to see a pic from you. You haven't lost your touch. This is a real fascinating image. Love the textures. I know what you mean about the weather. It is really depressing but brighter days are on the way.
All the best!
