Hi Carsten. This is really beautiful, such a forceful feel to the shot! I really like the almost surreal feel to the foreground. Wonderful again. Best Wishes Peter

I know what you mean, Peter, and I started with a silhouette like version - that was not my cup of tea. But it is a valid point, no definitive answer.

I agree with your explanation Carsten, and i know about raw conversion .. Not that i'm not an adept to this kind of corrections, but in my eyes it was overdone on the sunlit field, while looking towards the sun .. now if the sun came from the side ... ok .. see ? Peter

Your impression comes from the shadow adjustment I made for the foreground, esp the tree on the left. The sky is from that moment, not a photomontage. The lighting looks somewhat surreal, I like this effect when you pull out colors and tones from the RAW your eyes (or film...) would not detect in reality. So you can call it a photomontage, but sun position, light direction, shadows, color temperature are all matched for sky and land (that is possible in CaptureOne, really a great RAW converter).

Mmm, i don't think the land fits the sky with its sunrays directed upwards .. it should be darker with the sun hidden from this point of view .. nevertheless a beautiful scene ! Peter
