This is an excellent picture. I don't agree with the previous commentors who are picking the picture apart for bland aesthetic reasons. It's a very pretty young woman, lying on the cool grass on a bright sunny day. The sunlight is true to life and gives the image a soft, warm feel. The fact that the light is bright on her chest tends to lead the eye to her pretty face and mouth, and gives the photo a more overall elegant feel. I don't think lighting needs to be aesthetically perfect to make a good picture, and this photo is good proof. Overall, a very good picture, and not to mention a very fetching young woman. Good shot!

Ah yes, one of my favorite poses, although I seldom do it outdoors because of the lighting problems that have been mentioned. But a striking image nevertheless.

Hi Ben, nice and dreamy shot, love the bright light, it emphasises the atmosphere. I might've tried to leave the forearm out of the composition, or include it entirely, but that's only a very minor thing. Well exposed. Had a look at your portfolio, and I really like the versatile subjects and the high quality of your work...:)
Cheers,
Hugo

This is a tough one for me; I really like the composition and the general feel of the image, but the lighting isn't as good as it could be. Sometimes we just have to make due with what were given, and you did well with the conditions. A few things to consider: 1.)Using a diffuser over the model and maybe a reflector between you and her would even out the light and brighten her eyes. 2.)Maybe that wasn't the look you were going for, in which case she could slide down a bit so the area of sun on her face is instead on her eyes, again brightening them a bit. Even with the light being a little contrasty, it doesn't detract too much from what is a pretty good photo, and of course it doesn't detract at all from your subjects beauty.

Nice frame, nice photo but a little bit too bright on the chest and cheek.
