About I was hesitant about uploading this image but I decided to give it a try and share it with my UF friends.

The Azhar Park is a new park in Cairo that was built by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, and it is considered to be the largest project of the Historic Cities Support Program.

The park is entirely unique in the Islamic world and the largest of its kind in the Middle East.

This photo was captured for the roof and the top of a column in a Hilltop Restaurant in the park which has a Fatimid-inspired design.

Hi Alison,
When you first asked me about the Azhar Park, I hadn't been to it yet, It's quite new here.
These are a few shots I captured when I did finally visit it 3 weeks ago and I dedicate them to you.
My best regards to you and your family,
Khaled.

Its a nice shot, Khaled, with fascinating details. Personally I think it could be more subtle if it were not exactly symmetric, but this way it is almost an abstract-- like a kalaidescope..
Regards,
Omar

I like the angle very much Khaled, you have rendered the geometric shapes into an abstract composition. Very well done.

Greetings, Hesham

Great lines and details, which the B/W really brings out. I think I had told you I read about that park in the New York Times a couple of months ago. It sounds facinating. Alison

Great patterns and tones Khaled! I understand why you would be hesitant, and lots of times I feel the same too. But I'm glad that you uploaded it because that's how we learn.
