About Our local Botannical Garden has a rose garden full of beautiful yellow roses. I went down there after it had rained the night before. As the flower was in a garden bed it was a little difficult to use a tripod so I worked without it. As you can see, I like to get up close and personal when taking flower shots.

Thank you Evelyn for your encouragement. I must admit I do find a tripod very restricting, although I should use it more often to avoid camera shake, especially when I'm doing extreme closeups. I like your floral work, also. Happy New Year, Ann. V.B.

Up close and personal is great, Ann. Very lovely. I end up shooting most of my florals without a tripod. If the lighting is good it works well. Keep up the good work! I'm glad you enjoyed my Sunset Horses. That was a fun one to do.
