Nice to hear from you marco. I felt I had really stumbled on something here in applying sharpening o the drizzly scene here. I have renamed my pentax *istds because even these digital contraptions have their own spirit. I hope if I name it I respect it more. Yeah I got the name from hitch hikers guide - wasn't Douglas Adams fantastic! So smart, so funny, "My name is not important". :)
I have renamed him by the way, the camera is now a slarti, I think that has a certain eastern european flair.

GREAT!!! love the noise, here... suffocating darkness, air thick as oil... great and apocalyptic!

does really exist a camera named this way?
you know, slartibartfast is a character from my favourite book of all times, the hitchhikers' guide to the galaxy...

I see a huge dinosaur crashing through the gloom (too much Jurassic Park I think!). The umbrella provides an almost comic relief from the heavy heavy mood. The whole image is shades of shadow and yet more than enough detail in there to see the scene. Well done on the award, could have been almost anything out of your portolio. While I'm here, I say thanks for your attention to and appreciation of my stuff, means a lot. Ian II

Oh! OH!! I know those people! I recognize the umbrella! That's Mr. and Mrs. Olivier from Danvers, Illinois! I remember that because Danvers is tha same name as the weird housekeeper in Hitchcock's, "Rebecca" that was Mrs. Danvers!!! Wait... hmmm,,, maybe I am not getting it straight... Olivier may have been the name of the male lead... errrr, mayhaps I am rambling now... I'll get back to ya... in an eon or such.
