Hi Lori, Like the feeling of joy and happyness when the house is lit up by candles, and the decorations graduately appear everywhere in the time before christmas, the feeling of emptyness and the sentiments you describe are as much part of the ritual as any other... A very appropriate time for reflection.

Thanks for your comment, I had fun with this one.
Actually I am undecorating the tree, I got it up early this year. Usually it's after my birthday January 11 before I take it down, I'm always the LAST person so thought I'd get ahead of the game this time around!!!
I admit though, I'm leaving SOME of the ones in another room up for awhile!! :)
