Forgot to mention. Check out PIERRE THOMAS Karkau (PTK) out of Dusseldorf, Germany (on UF). This guy's got it down. Sure like all of us there's a few "so-so's" but his stuff, for the most part, is great. Once in a while pp hits this level too.The attitudes are just SLIGHTLY different....

Dear Audra, Glad you like my "French Shot". It's very fashionable to hate them these days cause they wouldn't join in on the "cowboy's" plans (the ones that are falling apart right now as we speak) - well at least that's what a portion of the gov. says + fox news (you can "slide across the surface of things" with them if you want. Maybe the French were just SMART.) Anyway, I don't think UF put that comment up without thinking about it (you can check out my latest shot "sadness' and read about encounters other people have had with Patrick - they're not positive). He lights SOME women like he's lighting Clint Eastwood it's very unflattering (and I DO compliment him on his excellent shots - more than I can say what he does for me - never even comes on my portfolio - but that's all about manners and machismo and insecurity so I get why). I know a bit about lighting. I studied it in Film School at UCLA and with one of the best , Bobbi Lane (www.bobbilane.com) at UCLA ext. She also teaches at "The International Center of Photography" in Manhattan (NYC). You can't get any better than that place - that's the top. (check out her website, it's very nice) Anyway, I made a mistake. I misjudged you. It's my fault. Stick with pp - I see you've already choosen sides - he'll teach you a lot. Take care, you know where to find me (I'll be around - hopefully) Mark PS. I see Patrick's doing damage control by putting up a "children" shot. Classic - just like politicians kissing babies...(oldest trick in the book). No hard feelings from this side. See you around.....

God this is ponderous ! We'll try again tomorrow or something. And it's not how I find myself, it's how I think this picture thing (on UF) is stupid - check out the written bio next to the shot.Is that about me? - and I'm a very private person. I'm the TOTAL opposite of PP. I don't need strangers on UF knowing my s**t . If i trust you then that'll be different. I'm very unostentatious (it's a French thing I picked up a long ago and I think it's very smart. - unlike other countries.hint hint)....... here's my one pp moment (first and LAST time). I went out with about 70% of the girls / models on my pages (I had a bit of an addiction) so you figure it out

Honey child, all I have is a passport / visa shot - you want that? I'm not into playing the game - I have something I can E you - it's too snapshotish to put up . Anyway, There's more than meets the eye (I have to make it fun) - just give it about another week and you're curiosity will be over. I ain't saying S**T till I trust you. We doing this e-mail thing or not (just leave a Yes or No below.) There's only going to be a 15 min. window for this so chop chop)

Dear Audra, I don't think it's about Donor or not (I was a Donor but am waiting and watching for awhile before I renew). The staff of UF doesn't have my current E-mail (Al, the head guy, who I happen to like) has it. I tried to change it when I was a donor numerous times on my page but it would always revert back to the old one. I have an idea how to give you my E-mail without anybody else getting it.. If you want to do that just put yes, if you don't just put no (on a comment below) BTW, a certain T&A photographer is up to his macho ways again - we're having a little tit for tat (no pun intended). Besides "him" I can't imagine what else you guys talk about. (oh, I put a shot up of me - see, i DO want to fit in) leave your answer under this one por favor. Hear from you soon (or maybe not - ball's in your court) Mark

Dear Audra, Since you're my new little UF friend I went and did some research for you. I had to go back in the Garden room / Enclosed Tiki patio were I have stacks of magazines that Santa was suppose to organize but it didn't happen (and it was freezing back there, like 47, 48 degrees at night !!) to find B & H's newest cat. that they sent to me.This is what I would do about the camera. Why not go with a Canon powershot G6 (7 megapixels, 35 - 140 built in zoom, that's 35mm equiv. on the numbers) for $729.95 AND THEN, in about 2 years, when prices drop big time and everything improves go for the SLR pro stuff which should be $1,000 to $2,500 by then (body only). It's all about megapixels right? That Canon EOS - 20D for $1,500 is only 1 mega pix higher. You don't see me going Digital yet. I think in a year or 2 critical mass is gonna hit all these high prices (it's already happening - just get something to hold you over). It's just like computer's and DVD recorders. And like computer's every 3 to 4 years we'll need a new one (camera) - they got us by the .......... PS. Watched "Bad Santa" earlier. Have you seen it ?- totally off the wall (BTW, as I was skiming there's the Canon powershot Pro 1 (8 mega -p's) for $859.99 (both of the camera's I mentioned are kits so you get alot of extra stuff) What's PP say, he's Mr. Digital .......

See, I think the color adds to the whole thing. I see you don't mention el camera, what are you using? (You can tell your bud).I don't know much about digital anyway, just what friends tell me and what I read.
