Craves are great for photos...sad ok...surely sad BUT that excactly is the point here, and the snow plus the greyscale makes a fantastic image Dave, classic I can say...and great monuments...delicated!
Best regards!

Hi David, thanks for the comment! I'm shooting in colour, and then converting to b/w in my editing program, which is called Photofiltre.
Dave.

Hi Dave: This is has great contrast in the stonework and the tree branches in the bg.
I think that the snowfalling has a cool white grain effect...really good work!
ps; are you shooting in b&w mode or turning it into grayscale in photoshop?..just curious cause sometimes I may do that do a color shot

Well, this is possibly what they mean by "stone cold dead"! As in the others, your exposure for the snowy scene was dead on (excuse the term). The sharpness is also apprpriate and satifying in order to render the right impression of unyielding stone.

wonderful, the snow makes it look sad & lonely. Dottie

Very good! The contrast, tones and details are wonderful in this image! It is hard to shoot photos in the snow without glare, but you did a great job! Another one to frame and hang!

Beautifully done.

Great details and contrast. The dark trees in the background make the crosses a little more difficult to seperate from the rest. The textures on them, make them almost look like tree bark.
