I guess I should double check the negative.

It doesn't remind me of a scratch but I'll check. I do think it is the processing after all because it is only on a few of the shots on that roll. thanks for your ideas.

My nephew and I came across this spot because I didn't have quarters for the lookout point. I am glad we found it. I am hoping it isn't on the negative because I do like this shot. Hopefully, I can get a nice reprint without it.

The Elan is a Film camera...look on the negative to see if it's there...you can hold it by the edges and look under light and magnification.If so then something inside the camera may be scratching the negative as it's wound. No scratch on the negative I would say it's whoever is processing the film, it could be their equipment. Lastly is the scan. If it's only on the scanned prints then its the scanner. Hope that helps! Nice shot by the way, always wanted to shoot that angle but the fog was in place all summer before I moved from SF. -MM
