Thanks Marta! Actually, he doesn't like to pose for me! LOL I usually have to bribe him, for example, he will ask me for something and I'll say, "OK, but let me take your picture first!" LOL I am such a bad mommy!!! ;o) Sometimes I think people might think I am biased because I have more pictures of Marreck, but it's only because Hayden doesn't like to have his picture taken.

Thank you for your response.. Using natural light is great. IT look like a studio shot that means well done by your end :)

You know what, I am a beginner, and while I had my camera in "portrait mode" I did not set the shutter and aperature manually. It does tell me on my LCD screen what it shoots at, but in my laziness I didn't pay attention  ( I should pay more attention, because I need to learn these things.
All I CAN tell you is that I used natural light from a window on the side of his face, causing the contrast.

Very nice face portrait of this child.. I liked your idea using brightness / dark balance on the face.. Congratulations and good luck for your next shot..
