Thanks for your comment AJ. This is very nice shot. The front frame leads eyes into the major subject. Digital camera has a very good DOF. Precise exposure, too. If the front arch is more complete to be seen with wide-angle lens, would it be better. It's only my personal opinon.

Wonderfully soft colours, and effective use of natural framming offered by the arch. Congrats.

Nice capture, it looks like the domes are squeezing together just to fit on your photo! These Balkan monasteries are really a treasurre to behold. I am planning to go to the Bucovina area of Romania and to Kosovo soon. The street in my Bucharest photo is Calea Victoriei, Piata Victoriei is about 200m to the left.

Some interesting elements here that make a great photo. The DOF allows us to see all of them. I like the way you framed it first of all. The railing line runs along the horizontal line of the roof of the monastery. The arch of the portico from where you shot, mirrors the domes of the monastery. The perspective line of the domes runs parallel to the mountain ridge beyond. Lastly the depth of the scene with sky, mountains, monastery and portico gives a nice "3-D" feel, like you are right there. Great..-mm

You have chosen a wonderful way to present this interesting and colorful monastery, allowing us to view the scene through the framing of the foreground architecture. The mountains in the background and the sky complete this idealic picture.
