I can't undeastand how I mossed this wonderful winter shot. I had to go all the way down to make sure I had not commented on it earlier. It really shows winter at its finest, Dave. Thank you for your kind words about my "Ramat Gan by moonlight", my "Yestaday's yesterday's paper" and my "Here goes I !" Best regards, Rafi

this is a beauty Dave. We've not got snow yet in the UK, so nice to see what we can look forward to.
I say that, but we get less each year really.
The village I come from is very much like this scene really. there's a few shots on my site, www.mcfade.com, look for "Pendleton".
Cheers
Ade

This is a very nice picture, Dave. I live in Dubai and, as you can imagine, it doesn't snow often here. So I kind of miss the winter season.
I like the composition and the calm flow of water in the creek.

Well, the creek isn't frozen yet! This has a nice curve in it and good exposure on both the snow and other features. Those red stalks, especially lower left add some color and interest to the scene. I looks like you are getting some good exercise. Stay warm!

Dave, Thanks for your comment. This is a terrific shot. I looks like it would be very refreshing if one was to slip on one of those rocks. So far we have not had snow yet. I heard on the news tonight if we make it to midnight tomorrow it will be a record for the latest showfall.

Brrrrrrr! That looks cold! Makes me glad I live in the southern US! lol This is a beautiful composition, with the stream acting as a lead across and into the background. Colors, light and details are wonderful. This should be framed and hung on your wall.

Ahhh snowwww I love taking shots in the winter with snow....and your shot reminds me of why. The contrast of warm and cool colors are enhanced which really increases the emotional response with any image, provided the composition is a good one. And your composition is excellent. Great shot!
