About Just after dawn, the white was tinged with warmth where the sun's rays reached. The soft image produced by the mobile phone seems to work quite well with flowers at this distance. True macros are beyond it, alas.

An "explosion" of white!-- nice shot Roger. I'm really quite amazed at the image quality of a cell phone. What really grabs me about this photo are the brilliant whites while still holding detail-- that is often hard to do.

Thanks for kind comments on my Little Sandy picture. I often prefer to not show scale clues and to keep the photo in the abstract rather than making it a strict literal translation-- adds a bit of "intrigue" I think-- just me I guess;>) Cheers. Craig

Richard, a photographer friend of mine combines appreciation for the slower, more reflective style of RF cameras with his preference for digital photography by using the Epson RD1 with his Leica-mount lenses. That might be a route for you to take if you like the RF approach but don't want to bother with film. I, of course, actually prefer film, although I must say this digital toy is lots of fun...

beautiful flowers Roger,like it much
you may play with curves in ps and their beautiful whiteness might be more distinct..

It's amazing what you can do with the phone, Roger. I'll bet you hardly ever talk over it, prefering instead to just produce art! Ha.

In answer to your question, I guess my brief period of nostalgia, triggered by my unearthing of the old German negatives, has passed. I had another fling with film but I am firmly in the digital camp by now. The T and the M are on their way to Jim Kuehl to be sold. The closest thing I may get to Leica is the 5mp Panasonic with the Leica lens which looks good for when I don't want the heavy pack with SLR and lenses.

A little speckly in the top righ corner, perhaps, but that's a minor quibble on what is, overall, a very nice shot, Roger.
Best regards, Chris
P.S. Thanks for your recent comment ~ we've got a short break coming up! A two night stay in a Cotswold hotel ~ can't wait!!

Very reasonable quality Roger. Nice to have such a toy for registration of any candid opportunity.
