This is a cracking shot, full of humour. The hawk checking out the sign. It's probably thinking something like "I'm ok, I'm not feeding them, I'm feeding ON them" ;)
I see you have been doing a bit of clan-up on your portfolio. Just how do you chose what to trim from such a strong portfolio?

Amigo Hugh, oportuna foto, creo que es una caracteristica de tus trabajos, de seguro la tecnica el foco ,la luz, la definicion son importantes ,pero en estos casos que es improvable que el ave pose nuevamente ahi, uno dispara y listo , pero tu caso es extraordinario, todo lo logras hacer bien, eso es magnifico y te felicito por tu ojo y tu olfato, y brindo por este reconocimiento del portal al premiar tu trabajo.

You realize it isn't a falcon hugo but the rarest angle on a pigeon that one may ever see with a
great stylie swish to itself balanced and the eyes on this angle looking very forward set for a non-predatory bird.
great moment.

Hi Hugh, I guess there weren't any pigeons left to feed.... Outstanding shot, very powerful suggestion you created. Very well balanced composition, and an excellent use of DOF to separate the subject(s) from the distance. I just wish the tones were slightly more satruated. Bringing out the yellow and the red tones would emphasise the sign a bit more, as well as place the falcon (?) more predominantly in the photo. Just a personal thing. A well deserved SC, as it is a top notch photo...
