Thanks for commenting, Kim. Now that you've mentioned it, it seems like you're right. The leaf is just too bright and leads the eye out of the frame. It should be toned down a bit.

Such beautiful pastels... it almost looks too vibrant to be real! Gotta love Velvia for those rich hues. I like how the composition leads my eye downwards, but the bright green at the bottom drags me out of the frame... it would be nice to either tone that down so that the flowers bounce me back into the frame or next compose just a tad differently so it's not touching the edge of frame.

Thanks for your reply, Mark! Well, at least I don't have to be curious anymore! ;-) (Still I think it was an interesting coinsidence) AND of course I'm happy that I found your portfolio because you have a great bunch of wonderful photos!
Well... see you around in some jungle or oceans then... haha... no, actually I've never been outside Europe! :-)

Sorry, Kristina, that wasn't me. I have been to many places but I've never been to Europe. I like the mountains, the jungle, and the ocean (advanced scuba diver) but I have never gone fishing for salmon. However, I imagine it would be nice to talk to you for an hour or so. :-))
I am glad you like my photo and thank you so much for looking and for your kind comment.
Regard, Mark

Original and so beautiful capture! The light is magic and warming, and it's a truly beautiful flower photo!
Mark, I have a strange question... ;-)) Have you lived or been in Sweden (Stockholm) spring/summer of 2004? I'm asking because I was taking photos in Stockholm one day and met an american guy who was fishing salmon and started talking with me. He was a photographer and we talked for so long (maybe an hour or so). He was from America and his name was Mark Susa (or Sousa?)
So when I saw your name under this photo I went so curious... Was that YOU?
