About Same shot, different tone. Changed to grayscale, then tinkered with the colour balance a little bit.

hi carol.... i haven't thought of converting any of my other photos to sepia, but perhaps i should. i just never seem to get around to doing any of that stuff.... just process the photos i have, upload the decent ones, take more photos somewhere else, and repeat the process again and again. perhaps i ought to focus on experimenting with different processes a bit more with my existing photos.

thanks for the idea.... take care ~ james

Really like this. Sepia really adds nice drama and contrast here. Have you thought of converting some of your Yellow Mountain shots to B/W or sepia (for the same reasons)?

Your portfolio has made me want to travel to China. :)

James - Both the color version and the sepia version are wonderful. There is a certain mood established by the sepia which I find very captivating and would say I prefer this one (akthough they are both great). Best regards, Mark.

This one is also beautiful, by the way thank you for the description of the city, that was facinating. Of the 2 pictures I think the other one is to my preference, just because there are so many subtle color changes through out the photo, which add to the great textures in the water and buildings.
