Well, Richard, the advent of the pocketable digital camera has made cameras even more popular, so yes, you do see a lot of people carrying them. But not in the rush hour... Most people don't know that I am snapping, and those that do, or guess, don't seem to find a mobile phone very threatening. So I've had no trouble so far.

I like your public transportation pictures, catching people unaware. Could be the telephone will become the new Leica. Do you ever encounter resistance from people not wanting to be photographed? Although, I suppose in Japan everyone always has a camera with them.

Oh, I was looking at the screen. I tilted the phone to get his head and hands into the corners! I get the feeing that even if people suspect I am taking a photo they don't really care as long as it's a phone. This "toy" is really opening the door to candid shots for me, something I thought I was constitutionally incapable of... It's a real challenge working with it, though.

Hi Roger, you're getting bolder and bolder with this camera.... This works out very well. Did you compose this looking at the screen, or "blind", pretending to make a phonecall? Very interesting stuff.
Cheers,
Hugo
