thanks, Phil! :O)
i was showing your portfolio to a friend yesterday & we were both just blown away by some of the incredibly beautiful shots you have of the scottish country side, especially the ones you've done with your holga. Really, they are very impressive. And we also really enjoyed the diversity of your images - that you try out such different processes & subjects. It was great to take the time to look at your work in such depth. You're doing an amazing job. Keep shooting!

As Shakil Khan said - it seem s that nothing really is in focus... if it (the neerest petal) was, the photo whould be far much better... regards. K.

Another beautiful blurry blossom in a lovely colour - purple. I like the DOF very much.

You're welcome, Jennifer. Sometimes its really frustating to do such macros, specially when there is strong wind. Good luck next time.

hi Shakil - thanks so much for your comments. I agree with you that the image would be stronger if the front petal was sharply in focus. Unfortunately, it was shot this way & i can't blame a scanner! Thanks, again. all the best - jennifer

mmm...or it might be your scanner! So, what I was saying is that the near petal that seems to be almost in focus should be really sharp (I know this lens is very sharp, so...). Try unsharp mask in PS after scanning.

Almost nice; but I think the very narrow DOF is not obtained from lack of DOF, but from focusing problems. In other words, it could have been focussed better. I understand that the far-side blur obviously comes from lack of DOF, but nothing seems to be in focus.
Anyway, good work; keep it up!
