yes, it is the best title for this photo, it seems that you interest to reflections. you new one was good also , but i prefer this one, because of clear reflection and the different tone of blue. like a painting with air brush.

beautiful and rich color tones... symmetry and transparency work perfectly in this minimal yet effective composition... like the b/w version as well but the colored one is more eye capturing... very well done dear Patrick.... best regards... emy

"Simplicity is the source of all truth" Lao Tzu...one of my favorite sayings....hi,it is blue (my fave color),it is a well seen shadow play reflection, and is very well composed..i like this image because it is strong and delicate at the same time..the single concentric circle in the background and the small floating leaves adds the charm...to my favorites!..regards,gayle

Hi Pia and thanks for your comment and thought! I dont think i used ps for sharpening.. the problem comes from a to tight crop i think.. became abit digital.. didnt notice it at first but i see it now. The bw version might "hide" some of these evidence.. hehe.. =) The bw version is far more "simplicity" then this one.. never tried it though.. until later! A shame!

Take care and have a great weekend!

I like such kind of detail and simplicity-images, very good!
I prefer really the b&w-version, the color version looks a little oversharpned from PS? you see it on the little white lines.....

regards, Pia :)

Hi Patrick... Can't help myself...I believe that the B&W is a better shot from a point of simplicity, and a flair for the dramatic. The Blue is cool...but it's not B&W... ;o) Either way, nice shot...your eye gets better, and better.

Cheers,

Bill

In a world of garish excess, the mind can find rest and wonder in the hushed halls of simplicity. Bravisimo.

Hi Jorge and thanks for your input! I think the problem lies in that i had to crop it abit to much.. should have used another lens for this shot.. shame shame as it would have been much better! Cheers!

the strength of this photo is its simplicity
the perfect equilibrium that you have realized is his
magic.......
You show a perfect eye that and able to see "
you confirm what I think of you
you are one of the best photographers that I know..:)

The KISS principle always works, Patrick....:) And this is no example. The beauty lies in the simplicity of this shot, but the peripheral elements (the leaves in the water, for example) are the cherry on the pie. Very nice shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

Reflection are one.. and due to the fact that i got a BIP there last.. i will never get one so short again. Guess i should have waited with this image perhaps? hehe!

Hi Heath! I have the trailversion but havent for some reason tried it yet.. hehe.. will do that shortly! =)

You dont need to have a us card.. just sign up to Paypal and you can pay from there.. its such a small amount to be a donor so you dont need to raise the max amount at Paypal.. www.paypal.com

Very easy! =) Ive only used paypal once myself.. and that was to become a donor!!

Hope you fix it.. mail me if you have any problems fixing it!

Very nice Patrick, simplicity is the key in my opinion, and you have demonstrated it superbly.

I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before, BUT if you would like to trial an awesome RAW conversion program, go to www.phaseone.com and download the 30 day trial of C1 PRO. It seriously puts out some stunning quality on the D70. I like it so much I am going to buy it as soon as I find the cash.

I want to become a member of UseFilm also but I am assuming you need a US credit card? How do internationalists like us get in?

Thanks Patrick. I have written a book here and for that I apologise :)
