Wow, this shots hurts even more than the other one, You can see the little things popping up and creeping out of the hole and you can feel the pain on your skin. Impressive. Grest. See you

Amazing that you managed to portray the smell of wood and the feeling of splinters in one's hand in one image. Fantastic tone in the dusty wooden floor.

Hi Jeanette,

I visited lately my old boarding school, since 10 years there are no pupils anymore and now the owners decided to break down the whole building, these photos are my way to cope the situation. Perhaps beginning of next year it is over and nothing to visit anymore.

I lived there five years and the buildings were my home during that time.

Thanks for your comment

Cheers,
Verena

I like the difference between the bright and the darker parts of the image. The photo expresses decay successfully and is purely intellectual... Well done my friend! A symbolic image that leaves nothing to chance...

Hi Verena,

wo Licht ist, ist auch Schatten... das aufgesplitterte holz sieht wie eine wunde aus... und heraus quellen schatten der vergangenheit.

scary.

Very strange I find this. From a school you say, wounds? For me it feels like - the youngsters does not care and also the one who should be responsible for reparations.... I would not like to go in a school like this or that my son would. But maby I miss understood the hole thing.

Dear Hugo,

it is not a triptych, it will be a longer serie which should give the chance to feel with me, if someone like to...

for me the chance to handle the pain which I feel with the decay...

:)) that you agree with my comments...

Take care
Verena

Hi Verena, With the first one, I failed to see where this was leading, and I'm still guessing when I say I think this'll be a triptych....

Anyway, I think the atmosphere and quality of this shot fit very well with the previous one. And that with the consideration that the first one is a monochrome...;o) I like this theme, very stylish, yet decaying.... Past glory, so to speek. Very well captured, and a very creative idea.

I'll reply to your comments later, but I'll just say it; they made perfect sence...;o)

Cheers,

Hugo

It really looks old and forgotten... It's a pity that this things are left without any care.

I think the photo would gain in b&w.
