Yep, it sure got the right feeling for tonight. Looks like a shot from a play, a theatre, could make a great advertising picture. I like the black here a lot, good lighting too.

Face is too white... but that's good, it works. The contrast is high, a dark demon radiating light, his victim is fooled... but there is one thing, his radiance is not very subtle... the nature of the devil is subtly evil.

May I show you what I would do? I hope you don't mind me fooling around with your pictures, you may do so with mine :) Because it looks similar to those Rembrandt paintings, very moody and dark, I have done some levels and given it a sepia tone, and given the candle a glow to make it look even more so.
What do you think? Too much?

Awesome. His facial features and the BW tonings work perfectly for the mood you were portraying. I think the fact that you kept his face extremely light makes the image all the more perfect. It is very befitting. Very well done.

Hehe.. Hello Paola! =) Nice to see that people think so different about this composition.. some hate it.. some tell me that they arent afraid.. some get afraid! Im glad you like this composition.. Its not a real skull though! Its a "Halloween" item made of some hard plastic material.. looks great though! =)

well, in this one photo brightened face against black background works well. If you was going for a scary photo - you got it! Halloweenish, yes!

Thanks Omar for your comment... yes i agree with the lightning.. could have been better! Did most of the work in Photoshop also... the very white part in his face is a High Key setting. was supposed to be like that.. but it might not have been a good idea! =)

Hi.. hehe.. No it was just an experiment! I Had to work abit with the image in Photoshop also.. the basic light wasnt that fun. I agree about having more light on the things would add alot! Perhaps ill redo this idea some day using the right lamps and light setting from the start instead of doing it all in Photoshop later.. =)

Very 'Dracula'! You show great imagination in this shot. I agree with Khaled's comment about the lighting on the skull. Also the face seems to be a little over-exposed.

Hi Patrick, did you shoot this image to be used in a horror movie !! Nice composition and mood but I think the skull and the table needed some sort of more lighting. Nice capture my friend, bye.
