Yes Larry, I do use the marching ants for my selections but I always use Golden Rule no 2, which is feather.

Sorry I had to step out to the grocery store, now I'm back for an hour or so.
Well, I read thru comments and "think" I visualized the layer effect, from what you taught me in color/b/w thing as well as what you told the girl in your return comments, OK?
I thought "the eye" was yours, guess longer hair and only half the face confused me...so is there more to tell me, that I might understand please?? Like do you use the "marching ants tool" to cut images to your needs my friend??

Larry. Thankyou for your compliment. I do have to correct you though. I took the photos. They are of Cai and Damion. And the facial image is Cai yesterday.

LOL Jeanette. It seems to have had that kind of affect on a few people. I am sorry if I scared you, I certainly didn't intend for that to happen. I will probably be doing a few more of this style, so let me know if you want to see more. I aim to please.

Sure Kelly. Basically it is three main layers. The background given an effect and noise. The childs face given another effect and noise. And the eye reflection which is a copy of the coloured background, duplicated with a screen layer and a border added.

Thanks James. Yes, I believe the eye is the window to the soul. It can say so much and yet say so litte.

You are too funny. Although I certainly didn't have any particular image in mind when I put this together. I just went from my own gut feelings.

The color image in the eye is a rather dramatic counterpoint to the otherwise dark tone of this work. I like the way you've used the three distinctly different colorings to convey the emotional impact represented here. I see the dim murkiness of the past, the stark reality of the present and the bright color of promise for the future. What an imagination you've been blessed with, Judi. Kurt
