Superb image, the sepia gives it a nostalgic touch & the shallow DOF is spot on. Warm congrats for the POD award, cheers.

Hi Darrin, Haven't heard from you in a while. Excellent shot, beautifully tones, and the shallow DOF makes the action of the hands come out perfectly. I wonder what a closer crop would do to this image. It's probably reduntant, but I had to see for myself.

I think your version allows the viewers attention to wander off along the arms to the unsharp areas, away from the photo. A slightly consised composition places more emphasis on the bracelet and the hands, maybe grabbing the attention more.

It's only a very subtle difference, and taken from the perspective of a stand alone image on a web page. The effect might be completely different in combination with the layout of the page in a wedding album and the other shots in that page. It's not meant as critisism, but merely as a consideration. It's a fantastic shot.

Cheers,

Hugo

Darrin, i like this image conceptually. i think i know what you were doing here. i think it needs a wee bit more DOF so that the bangles are not all that are so sharp as we gaze into the image. i want to see her hands more in focus.
