Great angle, lighting, and tones, I also like that Volvo that looks like it's still in perfect shape, I used to be a fan of that series :)

great capture of a retro feeling.... beautiful diagonals formed both with the pavement line and the shadows... the tonal range and clarity in the details add a lot... but i like most is the compination of the old car with the old man walking by it... it wouldn't have worked that good if anything was different.... a great image... emy

Patrick, it only took the thumbnail to make me feel that this is by far my favorite of your above the head series. The shadows certainly play a part in that. Wonderful work~

Hi Patrick, This type of shot is definately my favourite in your portfolio, mainly because of the unusual angle and the perspective. The diagonal layout adds a good tension within the composition, and the tonal range is fantastic. The highlight / flare on the back of the car works well too, a very subtle detail, but with a considerable impact on the mood. Good job!

Cheers,

Hugo

Thank you Kim for your comment! About the left side.. i couldnt crop his shadow or the photo would be ruined.. also didnt want to use photoshop to remove the dark parts in the street. It was supposed to be a simple composition with only an old car and the old man and their shadows.. =)

Cheers!

In the afternoon the light and shadowy control are good. The left side margin feels in insufficiency.

Hi Patrick,

I see, still sitting in the window on the 5th floor ;)

when I see this old fashioned car, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work that strong with modern curved design.

Great capture
Cheers,
Verena
