Embora eu normalmente não goste de imagens com o motivo centralizado, este é um caso em que isto não importa... já qu dividiu a cena simetricamente em duas partes, opostas na cor e iluminação. Gosto também pela originalidade do ângulo. Apenas sinto um pouco de falta de denição, o que não acontece nas outras que postou depois.

Many thanks for your comment, and for redirecting me back to this image. Usually I read the 'about' for each picture, don't know how I missed this!! And Andre further added in his comment about what he learned at Google!!
Now I know the 'what' and the 'why' about this fantastic monument!! :)

Muito legal estas imagens, é um monumento aos portugueses representando um barco? Me deu esta impressão pelo abstrato que você criou... As cores estão fantásticas. Parabéns.
Obrigada pelos seus comentários, e agora quem pede desculpas pela ausência do UF sou eu, porque estou mais ocupada por estes dias. Tentarei ver as imagens e comentar sempre que possível. Já estou sentindo falta... :)

Small research in google: Monument to the Azoreans - Azoreans Public Square - homenage to the sixty portuguese couples from the Azores Island that arrived by ship in this area in 1752 (Porto Alegre/RS). The work by Carlos Tenius portrays a group of retilineal metalic figures going toward the sky. The figures gathered together evoques the hull of a ship.
Fantástico Murilo. Eu passava nesse largo todos os dias (morava na Cidade Baixa e trabalha na Câmara de POA) mas nunca tinha visto esse monumento desse ângulo.

I don't understand you title, don't know what it means. And I don't know what this is....
BUT I DO KNOW THAT I LIKE IT!!
To me, it looks like an abstract sculpture, and it probably isn't... :) Kind of looks like it should have some kind of purpose, but don't know what that would be.
Love the deep color red, and the left side in shadow, very dramatic and appealing.
The sky/background is very nice.
