Stunning! I think if I had been in your shoes as an alternative I might have tried minimizing this shot with the rocks in the foreground by moving forward (if possible). The contrasty nature of this shot makes the brightly lit rocks in the foreground rather distracting. I think the color of the water and mountain reflection really make this shot. Seeing this photo really makes me want to go here next.

Good for you, getting up that early to get the lake with no ripples and the sun on the peaks, and getting up and climbing to the far end of the moraine! This is a great capture of a lake that is not that easy to photograph. I was there 3 weeks ago during dark gray clouds. I.ll post my canoe dock image a bit later. Good job. - JB
