Great shot Emily! The chain looks like it was hanging in the air. Well done!

How very sad this photo is. Emily, you seem to compose images with your heart, not only your eyes. You could base a novel on this photograph.

Emily! This works with the narrative/lyric because the gate seems insubstantial...not formidable....almost illusionary. IMHO Great!!

A very interesting capture, like Patrick had said, it appeared as if the chains were just hanging there freely. Kind of goes with the whole concept of feeling free but really you are just trapped within yourself. Wonderful work~

I say: "great conceptual opera!" Text and image go togegher perfectly! Decisive in the image is the selective focus with blurry urban landscape which gives more and more the sense of oppression caused by (our interior) closed gates.
PS: very attractive (at my eyes perception) the simmetry generated by the chain....

Interesting composition and the text/poem does it even more interesting.. =) First it looks like the chains and doorhandles is hanging free in the air until i saw the glass. Great idea and composition.. i like the blurred out background and how the picture is divided into two parts due to the glass. Great shot!
