Anyone who's been to Bodie knows it's hard to photograph the insides of most of the houses (I'd trade one of my lenses to get in here, well maybe not). I had one of those cheapo flexible rubber lens hoods in my bag, which I never thought I would use and don't know why I never discarded it, but now I'm glad I didn't. My camera was on a monopod, with the lens pressed up against the glass window and the rubber hood making a nice flush fit against the glass, thus eliminating all reflections from the sunny outside and voila! And the exposure was really 3secs!
Wow Bren what a drastic change of subject matter! Nice light and textures and a feel of standing right there! I think I'll go downstairs now!!! My best..........JOHN
