Wooow Patrick!
The textures of the bricks of the wall, floor and roof are striking, the B&W balance is awesome.
I look at the picture and I can go through the big door, I can feel the atmosphere in it.
This is just great! I saw the 3 "tunnels", all great! but this one is really good! I find the composition just perfect.
I can't believe you are just starting photography!!! You've got a great "eye".
CONGRATS!

Nice work Patrick... My eyes began on the right side with the bright bricks, followed left to the tunnel, and the ominous dark rider... What I found even more enticing are the bricks on the ceiling which [subtly] lead to the end of the tunnel...again. Very nice use of the light!

Cheers,

Bill

really like the transition from light to darkness and then to light again... the details and tones are very good and the inclusion of the arch in the frame adds to the overall result... leave space for the pic to breath... very well seen and presented.... emy :)

As you know I love this image, though I do miss the warm toning that it had, as it made it pop out even more to me, but it still works well in b&w. Perfect title for the image. Well done Patrick~

I agree about tht roof and it?s potential. The curves and the bricks are just great. Halmstad seems to be a very beautiful town. Well, I don?t have the sae feelning as Rebecca though about the bag and snatching....but the feeling is easly coming of that simply reason that he?s just like a silhuette. The tunnel effect is also somehting wich appeals!!! This is not your best, but second best.

Excellent Patrick. 7+

This is one of your best photos, but it?s hard because you have a lot of good shots! ;) I love how you composed the image, the deep perspective and the impressive arc are wonderful and their texture fantastic. You were good to control the exposure and to have the almost right lighting on every part of the photo and the darkness adds a lot of mood. Good camera, but good photographer too ;)

I posted the last of Roberta, it?s a bit melancholy, but it happens always at the end of a session?

Bye
Max

Nice catch! looks good in B&W. There is a kind of 'dark side' with the looming gate and dark 'rider' approaching. .

Comment:- The brickwork and cobblestones are really striking. I like the light/dark/light lighting. B/W makes the picture. Overall a marvellous shot.
Thoughts/Ideas:- I bet the arched roof must have a lot of potential, especially when lit by those lamps and/or fill flash.
